Join us for a premiere of Kahilu.TVʻs original production, Uhi. This second episode of our Nā Pua Pasifika series (following Ulu) features the canoe plant uhi. 

What to Expect at the Event:
  • A Story Rooted in Hawai‘i: The film features Honoka‘a’s own Lesili Sekona, believed to be Hawai‘i’s largest uhi grower, and is narrated by cultural practitioner and navigator Pomai Bertelmann
  • Original Music: Enjoy a rich soundtrack composed by slack key guitar virtuoso Makana.
  • Pre-Event Reception: Sample uhi (true yam) dishes and learn tips for growing canoe plants before the screening.
  • Post-Event Q&A Session: Engage directly with the cast and crew following the film.
