The Miró Quartet is one of America’s most acclaimed string quartets.

The Miró Quartet is one of America’s most celebrated string quartets, praised as "furiously committed" by The New Yorker and recognized for its "exceptional tonal focus and interpretive intensity" by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

For 30 years, the Miró Quartet has performed throughout the world on the most prestigious concert stages, earning accolades from critics and audiences alike. Based in Austin, TX, and thriving on the area’s storied music scene, the Miró Quartet takes pride in finding new ways to communicate with audiences of all backgrounds while cultivating the longstanding tradition of chamber music.

Recent highlights include a 2024 GRAMMY® nomination for House of Belonging with Conspirare, and the release of their new album Home on Pentatone. Their collaborations span acclaimed composers and performers, including Kevin Puts, Gabriel Kahane, and soprano Karen Slack.

Named after Spanish surrealist Joan Miró, the quartet brings deep imagination and clarity to the chamber music tradition.
