Sea Meets the Stars explores how rapidly growing datasets are transforming both astronomy and oceanography. Distinguished Professor J. Xavier Prochaska will discuss how advances in data collection have sparked a scientific revolution across the sky and the sea, and how artificial intelligence is enabling researchers to analyze information on an unprecedented scale. Drawing on his leadership in both fields, Prochaska will trace humanity’s quest to understand our past, make sense of the world around us, and anticipate what lies ahead. The talk examines how AI is reshaping discovery while remaining grounded in the rigor of the scientific method.

This is a FREE event – no ticket is required.
