In this two-week summer musical theater and performing arts camp, students play acting games that involve physical awareness, improvisation and communication. They rehearse musical numbers daily, learning songs and dances along with a script co-written by teachers and campers. Campers participate in daily electives of their choice, including puppetry, accents, songwriting, film making and much more.
At the end of the two weeks, campers perform a show for their ‘ohanas. All KPAW teachers are theater professionals from Hawai’i Island, assisted by local high school and college students pursuing a theater education.
