Pianist Jon Kimura Parker—Gold Medal winner of the 1984 Leeds International Piano Competition and an Officer of the Order of Canada—is one of today’s most versatile and celebrated performers. Known for his warmth, virtuosity, and charismatic stage presence, “Jackie” Parker appears this season at Lincoln Center, with the Galilee Chamber Orchestra in Toronto, and across the U.S. with the Montrose Trio.

He has collaborated with an eclectic range of artists from Stewart Copeland to Bobby McFerrin, and serves as Creative Partner of the Minnesota Orchestra and Artistic Director of the Honens International Piano Competition. A dedicated educator, Parker is Professor of Piano at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music.
